Brian Hill is our Elite Technician Winner
We are incredibly proud to announce that Brian Hill, Technician at Bentley Leicester has been crowed our Bentley Elite Technician Challenge Winner 2019!
With just under 500 entrants taking part, the competition was slimmed down to just three finalists from each of the 12 participating manufacturer partners. All competing to be named as an ‘Elite Technician’ win an once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Detroit Grand Prix, hosted by Penske.
Split into two halves, the first portion of the final saw 36 finalists take on an Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) accredited theory test that was designed to test our Technicians on everything from day-to-day servicing of a vehicle to unique vehicle problem solving questions.
The second half of the final saw the finalists go head-to-head in the practical test. Against the clock, the finalists were asked to identify a number of faults on real life vehicles from their respective brand.
After time was called on the practical challenge, the finalists then had to create a personal video presentation, with an app from new sponsor CitNOW, which outlined and explained all of the faults that they found on their vehicle – just like they would when diagnosing and reporting back to a customer.
